Rare full moon for holiday
“The best time to appreciate the
full moon will be at this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival, the last day of
September. It’s rare for the moon to
turn perfectly round on the festival, the 15th day in August in Chinese
lunar calendar, because it’s usually the fullest on the 16th. Locals
can view the full moon and enjoy moon-cakes, a tradition on the day.” (Jasmine Zhao)
Moon-Cakes gibt es im Augenblick überall in Hülle und Fülle zu kaufen. Man
verschenkt sie an die Verwandten aber auch in der Geschäftswelt. So bringt Alex fast täglich welche mit nach Hause,
die hier allerdings nicht auf große Begeisterung stoßen. Ich esse sie gerne. Man darf sie
weiterverschenken. Diese Packung „Moon
Cake Highriser”, die ein Geschäftspartner Alex überreicht hat, hat gestern der
Chinesischlehrer bekommen. Die
Verpackung ist wohl dem Shanghai World Financial Center nachempfunden.
